About Dr Behnaz Yazdanfar
Dr Behnaz Yazdanfar is the primary physician at Toronto Cosmetic Clinic. She received her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Ottawa in 1994 and completed residency at the University of Toronto. She has focused on aesthetic medicine since the year 2000.
Dr Yazdanfar has traveled the world in an effort to keep up to date with the latest advances in the field of cosmetic surgery. She has traveled to Dubai, France, Italy, Austria, and the USA for a string of conferences and symposiums dedicated to the field, as well as has attended several live cosmetic surgery workshops led by leaders in liposuction and breast augmentation. Dr Yazdanfar is a member of several reputable organizations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the Canadian Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
Although Dr Yazdanfar initially started her career as a general family physician, she elected to devote her career to cosmetic medicine. She underwent extensive training in the area of cosmetic medicine and cosmetic surgery, including didactic lectures, live surgery workshops, proctorship, working with and training under renowned experts in the field.
In 2002, in accordance with College’s “Change of Practice” requirements, Dr Yazdanfar was assessed by the College and her change of scope of practice was approved. This assessment entailed an involved review of her training and on-site attendances and observations with respect to her performance of cosmetic surgical procedures by two different College surgical consultants. College peer review of her surgical practice and premises have “conformed to good practice.”
